Libya Rule of Law Delegation
April 20—May 10, 2014
The Libyan Rule of Law program provided an overview of the legal system in the United States. The delegation consisted of a group of judges from the Libyan Ministry of Justice. The delegates represented various courts across Libya and had backgrounds in areas including prosecution, maritime law, and international law, among others. They learned about the American judicial system and about the practices of the United States that can be applied to the Libyan judicial system. The program was designed in partnership with The Ohio Supreme Court. In addition to working with the Supreme Court, the Libyan judges spent time at Courts of Appeals, County Courts, Municipal Courts and Local Courts. The Libyan delegates met with law enforcement officials and city officials that providee an overview of how the law affects their communities and how they collaborate with members of the legal system.

Nigeria Legislative Services Delegation

The Nigerian Legislative Services program provided an overview of the legislative system in the United States. The delegation consisted of a group of officials from the Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission. The delegates represent various functions within the State House Service Commission.

Swedish Social Work Delegation

During the three-week training program, three social workers from Sweden learned about the broad field of social work as it is practiced in the United States (US). We are eager to partner with these professionals and help them enrich their understanding of social work through an intercultural exchange. The overall goals and career objectives focus in and around youth services and advocacy.

India Youth Advocacy Program
September 8—September 25, 2014
Through an intensive three week training program, a delegation of Indian professionals learned about the services provided for children with disabilities in the U.S. and acquired transferable skills that will allow them to provide similar services in their communities in India. CIP collaborated with the United Nations Association - Columbus Chapter in efforts to meet their millennium development goals which include achieving universal primary education and global partnership for development.

China Shenzhen Social Work Program
October 20 - November 7, 2014
During the three week program, the delegation will have the opportunity to meet with professional counterparts throughout Ohio. In addition to the College of Social Work, they will also visit OSU for meetings with the John Glenn School of Public Affairs and the Institute for Chinese Studies. To understand the structure and function of large non-profit organizations, the delegation will visit the National Association of Social Work, HandsOn Central Ohio, American Red Cross, and COSI. They will also meet with several hospices and youth service agencies, including Kobacker House, Buckeye Ranch, and Huckleberry House.

The organization provides services for all registered social workers in the Nanshan district, they work to help Social Workers develop professional skills.
Mr. Huiying Zhang, Director at the Shenzhen Rainbow Social Work Service Center.
The organization provides social services for communities, schools, hospitals, elderly, youth women and children and provides services to help people with drug addictions.
Ms. Lei Zhang, Social Worker and Director of the Shenzhen Pengxing Social Work Service.
Her work focuses on helping teenagers who are struggling with various problems

This organization provides services to help youth in various capacities.
