Global Perspectives
Culturally Conscious Tourism Abroad
Global Perspectives is a program launched by US Together in 2019 as an upgrade to our Voluntourism program. We host trips abroad to unique destinations that usually last about 12 days. During the trips, we partner with non-profits from local communities that we visit, and travelers have the opportunity to volunteer about 2-3 days with these respective organizations. Although we realize that the time spent helping these communities is limited, we are certain that interaction with local people impacts positively the way that both parties perceive each other, and serve as a tool for cultural diplomacy. Our trips are unique because we provide travelers with the opportunity to make personal connections in the places they visit and promote a type of tourism that is sustainable, and even beneficial for local communities. Thanks to our local partners, we offer much more authentic experiences than travelers would receive from a typical tour, allowing U.S. residents to experience other cultures and expand their perspectives of the world.

Explore and Volunteer for Refugees in Greece
Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! During this trip participants will fully immerse themselves into the culture and society of Greece through volunteer work and tourism. As an organization that provides life-saving services to refugees, US Together wants to expand their international reach by assisting communities outside of the United States. The first portion of the Greece trip will be spent in Athens, where participants will explore the city, visit museums, and tour historical sites. From the lodging site, the famous Acropolis is within view. But not to worry - a full evening will be spent touring the ancient citadel! Volunteering officially begins October 12th, in which participants will engage with local refugees and begin comprehensive volunteering projects within the community. The final portion of the trip will be spent on the island of Crete. These few days will include relaxing on beaches, visiting archaeological sites, and exploring ancient towns. The entire program will be coordinated by US Together and in-country guides. Dates for this program will be from October 8th through the 18th at the low cost of only $1,600 plus airfare and some meals!
